Today was the last day of what has been a really fun way that the staff and real estate agents at Hanlon Realty have come together to help spread holiday cheer. It was our 12 Days of Christmas Pay It Forward event. We pooled our resources, and every day for 12 Days donated $500 to a deserving Newfoundland charity. It was my favourite take on the 12 Days theme yet.
Today’s final recipient is the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or S.P.C.A., which has been operating in Newfoundland since 1888. This organization promotes responsible pet ownership and provides financial assistance for spay and neuter procedures, and of course they rescue injured, homeless, neglected and abused animals, caring for them at their Lady Dunfield Memorial Animal Shelter on RCAF Road. Please consider adopting a rescued animal the next time you’re looking for a pet.
If you’re interested in our charities, in terms of making your own donation or volunteering, please follow the links below. We’ve learned that all these great organization do incredibly worthwhile work in our communities.

When you see a list this long, and see all the crucial work these organizations do, it becomes clear how much need there is on our community. We are so blessed, and especially this time of year it’s good to stop and think about ways to help those less fortunate than us. At Hanlon Realty we hope that our 12 Days of Paying It Forward has helped us spread the joy of giving. God bless the many dedicated volunteers and staff who make these organizations do so much for so many.
